Bin location

A specific shelf or slot in a warehouse where stock is kept.

What it means

A bin location is a specific shelf, slot or area in a warehouse where an item is kept. Stock is counted and picked by bin, not just by building.

Why it matters

Without bins, a quantity is a total with no address. With them, picking is faster, counts are accurate, and partial receipts don't go missing.
